flowers for algernon
this is a book that makes you think. its a very emotional short story and is centered around one of my favorite topics; self awareness (i told you im a sucker for psychology :p). the writing is very unique. its a classic and a great short read. it does have a bit sexual content, so beware.

hunger games series
this is an iconic series. its a dystopian fiction with a bit of romance. the whole series develops into a very interesting plot. everything just connects perfectly, especially the two new prequels. theres a reason theyre so popular. and they might be a bit too real nowadays.....

the metamorphosis
i just recently finished this book and it made me think a lot. if you like abstract, metaphorical books, then this is for you. its mostly up to readers interpretation, and i love that. its very relatable to people with depression, or people feeling alienated. plus, its a short read.

warrior cats; the prophecy begins
if you enjoy fantasy-action books, youll probably like this series. the prophecy begins is probably my favorite of all the arcs. they start to lose me later on, but we're talking about the first arc here! it introduces everything so well and the worldbuilding is great. and its not as childish as youd think. give it a try!

warrior cats; bluestars prophecy
if you liked the first arc, try this book next. i havent cried at a book in..... ever. this book really made me love bluestar even more, which i didnt think was possible. it gives tons of insight on her character, and introduces us to new ones. its my all-time favorite special edition.
